The Scar Project is a series of large-scale portraits of young breast cancer survivors shot by fashion photographer DavidJay. Primarily an awareness raising campaign, The Scar Project puts a raw,unflincing face on early onset breast cancer while paying tribute to the courage and spirt of so many brave young women. 

Great portraits! Mastectomies are almost the norm in parts of my family.  (They find it hard to understand why I want top surgery.)
